Overview
The Read family are based in country NSW, Australia.
The triplets each depend on around-the-clock carers,
as well as power-wheelchairs to mobilise.
In 2014 the family began fundraising to
build a fully accessible home.
In 2017 they were able to move into their new
purpose-built home, assisted by the dedication
and generosity of so many.
However the challenges for this family didn't simply end there...
Raising for the Read Triplets Inc. is a charitable trust,
established by a wider community initiative, to assist the special
needs of the Read Triplets who were born in 2006 with
Merosin Deficient Muscular Dystrophy.
Anwen, Mahalah and Gideon sat the HSC and
completed high school at the end of 2024.
As 18 year old adults, 2025 saw them each setting out
as individuals, embarking on their own new adventures,
with a whole new set of challenges to overcome...
